Most BJD collectors focus on full bodies. The M01 Bust exists for a different purpose.

It is a 1/4 scale BJD bust designed and sculpted by MDollSchool. Not a full body — just the upper torso, with arm options. That makes it useful in ways a full body is not.

What it is actually good for

If you do faceup work, the M01 Bust gives you something to mount the head on while you paint. It holds the head at a natural angle and keeps your hands free. Better than holding the head or propping it against something.

For photography, a bust lets you shoot head and shoulder compositions without dealing with legs, feet, or a doll stand. The framing is cleaner and the setup is faster.

For display, it takes up less space than a full doll. If you have a head you love but no plans for a full body yet, the M01 Bust is a way to display it properly.

The details

The M01 Bust comes in four skin tones: Pearl, Snow, Cream, and Peach. Standard arms are included. Arm 01 is available as an optional add-on if you want a different arm shape.

Price starts at $85 for the standard configuration. With Arm 01, it is $100.

Production is pre-order. Making period is approximately 90 working days from final payment. Payment can be split: $42.50 deposit, $42.50 balance. Limited version, no restock planned.
